Heading South

Well its good to see the odd yachty still heading South out here, but we definately have a lot of anchorages to ourselves. Currently at Burnett Heads and not in a great hurry to be anywhere at the moment. Mozzies can be a little too friendly here though, had to install the mozzie screens.
The New year is approaching fast, so next year we will head on down the coast, and check out Tincan Bay for a while again.
Bit windy at anchor today, winds gusting to 25 knots and forecasted to increase tonight and tomorrow.
Well you all have a Happy and Safe New Year.
Cheers,
Anchored at Curlew Island. The Jewel of the Beverley Group. A good anchorage to 30 kts which we tested

Huge tides

Great sunsets. Couldn't resist the positioning

Hot heavens

Our own personnal sand bar, called Tinonee Banks, renewed each day.

Volcanic core I guess, and very impresive.

Anchored at Hunter Island which is part of the Duke Islands. Very picturesque place

Not sure what sort of fish this is, but tried altering course so my trowlling line went through them, no luck though.

Always nice to see the anchor chain down when passing these.

Up the creek, Pancake in this instance.

Our sandbar

Could be a scary sight.
